Cricket: Akbar shines with 11-wicket haul

KARACHI: Fast-bowler Rizwan Akbar claimed an 11-wicket haul as Omar Associates completed a nine-wicket win over Pakistan Education Board (PEB) at the Patron’s Trophy Grade II tournament yesterday in Rawalpindi. The pacer took six wickets as PEB were bundled out for 114 in the first-innings. In reply, Omar Associates scored 207 courtesy Naveed Khan’s 64. Meanwhile, Akbar struck again with a five-wicket haul as PEB collapsed at 107 in the second-innings, setting just a 15-run target, which Omar Associates achieved easily for the loss of one wicket.
