Two men killed, couple injured

MIANWALI/ JOHARABAD/ KUNJAH: Two men were killed and an elderly couple was injured on Sunday in three incidents. Police said Nasir, a resident of Officers Colony, was shot allegedly by Shafi and Naeem. They said Nasir had allegedly kidnapped Shafi’s wife a few months ago.

Police said they did not find the woman at Nasir’s house. Shafi and Naeem are missing.

In Mianwali’s Pai Khel area, one Sher Muhammad was shot dead allegedly by Aslam over a quarrel that started between the women of their families. Muhammad fled.

In Kanjah, a man and his wife were shot and injured over a dogs’ fight.



Police said Arshad Ahmed Sahi’s and Shahid Iqbal’s pet dogs attacked each other after which the two men blamed one another for carelessness that ended in an arguemt.

A few hours later, police said, Sahi went to Iqbal’s hous, shot his parents and fled. The injured were taken to a hospital, where they were reported to be in critical condition. A case has been filed.
