The ECP also directed National Accountability Bureau (NAB), State Bank of Pakistan and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to post all details of the candidates on their websites within 48 hours.
The candidates, whose nomination papers were rejected by returning officer (RO), can now appeal against the decision within three days.
The ECP devised nine tribunals to conduct the hearings regarding appeals starting tomorrow.
More than 24,000 candidates had submitted their nomination papers to the ROs. The ECP had asked the scrutiny cell to complete the process by 4pm today.

Under the ECP’s policy on judging the eligibility of candidates, the returning officers (ROs) initiated ‘ruthless’ scrutiny in accordance with the Articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution.
Article 62 of the Constitution pertains to the qualification for membership of Parliament and requires a candidate to be of good character, who is not commonly known as one who violates the Islamic injunction and has knowledge of the ideology of the country, among other requirements.
Apart from religion, the ROs also took a strong stand over tax defaults and refused to accept many candidates’ nomination forms until their dues are cleared.
