Memorial Lecture: Dr Baloch and his legacy honoured

SGA, National Institute of Historical and Cultural Research, QAU and Endowment Fund Trust arranged the lecture.

Sindh Graduates Association (SGA) Islamabad, in collaboration with the National Institute of Historical and Cultural Research, Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) and Endowment Fund Trust arranged a memorial lecture to pay homage to Dr Nabi Bux Khan Baloch at Shah Latif Community Centre in Islamabad.


A press release issued on Saturday said the event was held to honour Dr Baloch, a renowned scholar, educationist, anthropologist and literary legend, on his second death anniversary.

Speaking on the occasion, former Vice Chancellor Sindh University Mazharul Haq Siddiqui praised Dr. Baloch’s efforts to promote education, most evident through his founding of some great institutions. “He followed the footsteps of Allama II Kazi and other scholars and supported the promotion of education and culture,” he said.

President SGA Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Memon said the institution was actively promoting literature, art, culture and cultural harmony in the federal capital.
