‘Toy Bomb’: Nine-year-old boy injured in blast within Tank

Arif was reportedly playing with other children in a field when he touched a bomb guised as a toy.

Nine-year-old Arif Khan was severely injured on Saturday when he touched a ‘toy bomb’ in Kari Hyder Khel village of Tank city, said a police official.


Arif, son of Inayat Bhittani, was reportedly playing with other children in a field when he touched the bomb guised as a toy which exploded in his hands.

He was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital, DI Khan, where doctors said his life is out of danger, but both his hands have been permanently damaged.

The police official informed such incidents have occurred in Kari Hyder Khel village, located on the border of Frontier Region Tank, in the past as well.

It could not yet be ascertained who was behind the incident.
