Illegal Act: FESCO officers suspended for shifting power load

Fesco shifts officers to different districts besides ordering departmental inquiry.

Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) has suspended two sub-divisional officers and two line superintendents on the charge of shifting load from one feeder to another illegally.


Fesco spokesman Tahir Sheikh said here on Thursday SDO operation Razabad without prior permission of the competent authority shifted load of commercial feeder to an industrial feeder. In this act, line superintendent-II Razabad was also in league with the SDO.

Similarly, SDO Mansoorabad sub-division and line superintendent-II shifted the load of 11-kilovolt Farooqabad urban feeder to industrial feeder Chak Jhumra Road.

Taking strict action against this illegal act, the Fesco chief has immediately suspended all the four officers. These officers have been shifted to Mianwali, Bhakkar and Lalian besides ordering a departmental inquiry into their conduct.
