HAFIZABAD: The family of a 13-year-old girl protested against the police on Wednesday for refusing to register a gang-rape complaint against four men. The protesters gathered in front of the Press Club and chanted slogans against the police. The girl’s parents said that their daughter was kidnapped at gun point and raped her. She was then left naked in the street in front of her house. They said the men had later threatened to kill the girl if a compliant was filed with the police. The protesters dispersed after some police officers assured them that an investigation will begin soon. Kasko police said the complainants as well as the nominated suspects had been summoned to the deputy superintendent’s office on Thursday (today).
