Public holiday

Letter April 04, 2013
It's interesting to see provincial interim government has also announced public holiday on Bhutto’s death anniversary.

KARACHI: The Government of Sindh has announced that there will be a public holiday on April 4 to observe the 34th death anniversary of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. In the last few years, the PPP-led Sindh government had been announcing April 4 as a public holiday as their leader died on this date but it is interesting to see that the provincial interim government has also announced a public holiday on Bhutto’s death anniversary. This shows that the Sindh interim government has a soft corner for the PPP.

If this is not the case, then the provincial government should announce a public holiday on every senior politician’s death/birth anniversary.
