The suspects, who belong to the banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ), were allegedly involved in several other incidents of targeted killings.
Police also recovered arms and explosives from the suspects.
Professor Sibte Jafar was the principal of Liaquatabad College and a renowned sozkhwan. He was shot dead by unidentified men on March 18 near Liaquatabad College.
The deceased was a lawyer, renowned poet, educationist and a scholar.
Earlier during the day, the police also claimed of arresting two suspects involved in the murder of Lyari gang war leader Arshad Pappu during a raid.

For once lets appreciate the security forces personnel who arrested these terrorists. Notwithstanding their corruption, inadequate number and lack of training they have been giving up their lives in large nu,bers lately.
Who will ask these terrorists when their leaders made alliance to contest in Elections? They are more secure in prison.

Election Commission should take some input from Police & security agencies before accepting papers of hate mongers like Ludhianvi & Farooqi.Its their incitement that has actually killed people like Sibte Jaffer.
Nothing Will happen, there's no justice in Pakistan.... Courts are tools used by elite class to suppress poor.
Like other killers, they will live all their life enjoying free food and services on tax payer's money as death penalty is not used in Pakistan.
