Sindh traffic police had announced that the traffic fines were going to be increased on March 25.
The head of KTI, Irshad Hussain Bukhari, said that the new fines would not be accepted at any cost.
“We have submitted our proposal and we hope that the government will not turn it down,” he said adding that the transporters would go on strike if it did.
He didn’t reveal the contents of the proposal. DIG Shaikh told The Express Tribune that the traffic police and the concerned departments will study the proposal submitted by the transporters.
