Further delays in Shahzeb’s murder trial proceedings

Proceedings on Shahzeb Khan’s murder trial were adjourned till Tuesday (today) because of a strike organised by the lawyers who were protesting against being manhandled by former president Pervez Musharraf’s supporters when he arrived at Sindh High Court.
The victim’s father, DSP Aurangzeb Khan, had named four men, Shahrukh Jatoi, Nawab Siraj Talpur, his younger brother, Nawab Sajjad Talpur, and their servant, Ghulam Murtaza Lashari, as being responsible for his son’s murder. The accused have been charged with murdering 20-year-old Shahzeb Khan after a minor dispute on December 25, 2012.
On Saturday, an eyewitness of the alleged murder had successfully identified all the four suspects. The anti-terrorism court has been conducting trials on daily basis on the orders of the Supreme Court to resolve the case.
