Cricket: Bank Islami lift T20 trophy

Bank Islami defeats KASB Bank by 55 runs in the final Agha Sports T20 Cricket Trophy.

KARACHI: Talha Fahim starred with an all-round display as Bank Islami lifted the 4th Agha Sports T20 Cricket Trophy, defeating KASB Bank by 55 runs in the final here at the Aga Khan Gymkhana Ground.

Bank Islami posted 173 for six in their 20 overs as Fahim hammered 72 off 47 balls, while Omair Rizvi made a 32-ball 56. Off-spinner Mohammad Fahad took two wickets.

In reply, KASB were all out for 118 in 18.3 overs. Shahid Hussain was the top-scorer with 43 while Abdul Majid claimed three wickets.

Fahim and left-arm spinner Wasim Ali bagged two scalps each. Fahim was adjudged man-of-the-match and best batsman of the tournament with 310 runs, while his teammate Wasim Ali was named best bowler for picking up 12 wickets in the event.
