Cricket: Sajid shines in Sindh Seniors win

Sindh Seniors outplay Karachi Gymkhana by 9 wickets in League Match of 15th National Seniors Cricket Cup.

Former Pakistan cricketer Sajid Ali’s century enabled Sindh Seniors to outplay Karachi Gymkhana by nine wickets in a League Match of the 15th National Seniors Cricket Cup Southern Zone Match played here at the Karachi Gymkhana Ground.


Batting first, Karachi Gymkhana scored 173 for four in the allotted 25 overs. Jam Nafees Ali contributed an unbeaten 61 off 55 balls with three boundaries and one six while Abbas Valika scored 41 off 29 balls, his knock including five strikes to the fence and one six. Iqbal Sheikh clinched 2 wickets for Sindh Seniors.

In reply, Sindh Seniors achieved the target for the loss of just one wicket in 13.4 overs.

Man-of-the-match Ali remained not out as he played a magnificent 107 that consisted of 10 boundaries and three sixes, while Nadeem Sheikh collected 41 runs off 24 balls.
