Corruption watchdog: ‘NAB saved Rs200b from being swindled’

The NAB chairman said that the bureau targeted high profile cases, involving huge money.

ISLAMABAD: NAB Chairman Admiral (Retd) Fasih Bukhari on Sunday said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) saved Rs200 billion from being swindled by intervening into projects and procurements worth Rs1.5 trillion during last year.

The NAB chairman, in an interview with APP, said that the bureau targeted high profile cases, involving huge money. The small-scale corruption cases were to be tackled by the FIA, anti-corruption establishment and police.
