In remembrance: Memorial service at SIUT for Cowasjee
The institute’s director, Prof. Adibul Hasan Rizvi, remembered Cowasjee as a “real friend of SIUT.”
KARACHI:
The Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) organised a memorial event, Remembering Ardeshir, for the late renowned journalist, intellectual and philanthropist. Rich tributes were paid to Cowasjee for his humanitarian services in Pakistan and especially in Karachi. The institute’s director, Prof. Adibul Hasan Rizvi, remembered Cowasjee as a “real friend of SIUT” and spoke about his donation of the haemodialysis machines. Prof. Rizvi informed the audience that Cowasjee gave his full support to the campaign for the deceased organ donation programme and was the first person to donate his organs after his death.
