PTI launches ‘Naya Pakistan Fund’

ISLAMABAD: The problem with having young candidates is that they don’t often have pockets deep enough to run an election campaign.

In order to try and bridge that financial gap, The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday launched its online fundraising scheme, the ‘Naya Pakistan Fund’, to finance the election campaigns of its young candidates.

Considering that the PTI plans to give 25% of its tickets to persons under 35 years of age, that’s a lot of candidates.

What an irony of facts that Imran Khan Niazi lives in a 300 kanal spacious palace in Islamabad, has numerous SUVs parked in his garage and travels by private jets but begs others for donations! He pays tax of hardly Rs22 thousand a month, even less than the amount of utility bills of an upper-middle class family of Pakistan. He should sell some land and make the donations first before asking others for charity. CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME
