SARGODHA: A school teacher, who had been allegedly tortured by former MPA Aslam Madhyana, has obtained nomination forms for PP-31 to contest elections against him.

Aslam Madhyana had allegedly broken both legs of Nafees Khan after he submitted a complaint against him to police.

District Police Officer Dr Rizwan, who had registered a case against Madhyana, was transferred first to Gilgit Baltistan and then to Balochistan.

Former chief minister Shahbaz Sharif had stopped the transfer after citizens’ protests against it.

In the meantime, Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had taken a suo motu notice of the incident and ordered trial in an anti-terrorism court.

Aslam Madhyana, later, got a bail from the Lahore High Court which also removed the anti-terrorism clause from the case. The case is still being heard.
