QUETTA: Dozens of mud houses were damaged or destroyed in different areas of Balochistan during a three-day spell of torrential rains that  triggered flash floods.

Mud houses collapsed in Quetta, Kalat, Pishin, Khanozai, Mastung, Qila Abdullah, Ziarat, Muslim Bagh, Harnai, Qila Saifullah and Naushki.

The rains also caused sewers to overflow in the provincial capital. After inundating the main throughfares of the city the rainwater and sewer sludge entered houses and shops.
