
Jaffar had challenged the transfer of her vote from Punjab to KPK.
She submitted that she was a Rahim Yar Khan resident and had served as a member of the Punjab Assembly from 2008 to 2013.
The Election Commission had transferred her vote to Haripur district, preventing her from contesting the elections from Punjab. She asked the court to direct the ECP to correct the record.
Following a short notice, a law officer of the federal government told the court that the petitioner could provisionally be allowed to contest elections from the Punjab.
The judge allowed the petitioner to submit her nomination papers in the Punjab and then sought a reply from the Election Commission for April 2.
