Earlier during the day, Sethi met Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) chief Munawar Hasan and is also expected to meet leaders of PML-Quaid.
Speaking to the media after meeting the JI chief, the caretaker CM outlined his tasks for the day. He said that he has talked to the Election Commission of Pakistan over reshuffle in bureaucracy, which will begin today and end in a week.
The name for a new Inspector General (IG) Police of Punjab will also be decided today, he said.
Sethi also said that he does not want more than 5-6 cabinet members in his setup.

@dasmir: I fully endorse your opinion. Sethi has no business meeting these politicos. Maybe his intentions in meeting them are to lay down the ground rules and reiterate his neutrality and fair-play. But those intentions could be more effectively demonstrated by actions rather than his words. I am, however, bemused by the interesting twist of democracy that once Sethi was imprisoned by Nawaz Sharif and now he will be meeting him as the CM of the Province.
I am still in shock about this whole thing. This level of maturity shown by the political parties is unprecedented.
I think Najam Sethi is very good choice being a caretaker chief Minister of Punjab. Please Mr.Sethi Show them how to run the Punjab.
Mr Sethi has immense responsibility on his shoulders. I wish him all the best. Do us proud and help build Pakistan from the shambles it is in today.
Many people did not like him as the caretaker chief minister but it was one of the most commendable act of PPP and PML-N. I am sure he’ll be unbiased and committed CM. Progressive people of his caliber are very rare commodity in Pakistan. I wish him good luck.
There is a ubiquitous saviour mentality in Pakistan! From Musharraf to Imaraan Khan to now najam Sethi1 Mr. Sethi's brief is very simple and straight forward ; help carry out impartial election. He has no business meeting players of the election. That way he is sowing doubts and there is clear conflict of interest. He is no Robinhood. limit yourself to election and routine work. the saviours will be elected by prople.
I have more faith on Najam Sethi than myself.
A must aprreciable step...
"Sethi also said that he does not want more than 5-6 cabinet members in his setup."
Najam sethi knows very well that more ministers means more headache (intervention)
The only disappointing thing here is that now he can't stand in the elctions. Somebody like him is badly needed in the National Assembly.
go sethi go, show them how it's done :D!
