KARACHI: Left-arm spinners Sadaqat Ali and Junaid Naeem picked up six-wickets between them to bowl Omar Associates to a six-wicket win over Hashim Industries in the opening match of the 19th Hinopak Trophy KCCA Inter-Departmental Cricket League yesterday.

Hashmi Industries were bowled out for 179 in 44 overs as Sadaqat and Junaid took two wickets apiece and were ably supported by leg-spinner Shahzaib Ahmed Khan who also claimed two scalps.

Naved Baloch top-scored with 39 hitting two sixes and three boundaries while Nadeem Bandahani made 25.

In reply, Omar Associates cruised to 180 for three in just 32 overs as Mohammad Waqas slammed an unbeaten 84 with six strikes to the fence while Mohammad Owais (40) and Waqas Ali (30) chipped in with useful knocks.
