Seminar: ‘Islamic system needed’

FAISALABAD: Speakers at a seminar on Wednesday called for an Islamic socio-economic system in Pakistan.

The seminar was organised by Government College University, Faisalabad, and was presided over by Vice Chancellor Zakir Hussain. Prof Ahmad Rafique Akhtar was the lead speaker.

He said that Islam was a comprehensive system that provided solutions to all problems faced by people of all times. He urged Muslims to understand Islam.

He said they could not attaint their goals without understanding and following Islam.

Prof Hussian said that weakness in faith must be eradicated through a more thorough understanding of Islam. He also called for self-accountability and ending prejudices.

Registrar Ayub urged the students to read the works of religious scholars to better understand sufism.
