Sattar, speaking to the media, said that it was not just a claim that MQM was the only party in the country which arose from the middle class, “but also in practicality, MQM gave tickets to educated, capable people, especially youngsters, from the lower and middle classes and brought them to assemblies”.
“We sent them to the assemblies where even the entry of the middle class people is prohibited,” Sattar said, adding that a lot of youngsters will succeed in the upcoming elections as well.
“I want to assure the people that we will not hand tickets to influential feudal lords and investors...People who loot money from the national exchequer and then initiate businesses abroad will not be given tickets at any cost,” said Sattar.
Electoral alliance
Sattar said that the MQM has never made an electoral alliance with any party in the past and will not do so in the upcoming elections either.
However, he said, that the party is open to making seat adjustments with like-minded candidates and parties.

@Reas: MQM gave tickets to educated, capable people, especially youngsters, from the lower and middle classes and made them billionaire or millionaire?
@Ali Moin: You are right to much extent. Not only due to 'ethnic backgound'. Their rival is a demon who owns Pakistan.
@whatajoke:
MQM people dont leave MQM.
@Reas: the MQM you are talking about existed 15 years ago. The party is still driven by youth but they themselves are lost..
Youth like Ajmal Pahari?
@Khurram Zafar: What is bad in bussiness in Dubai?
No matter how much MQM tries and all the 'good' that they do, the fact of the matter is it cannot become a main stream party and not just MQM but any party that arose from an ethnic background and for a particular sec ot people such as ANP, BNP, PML-N, any sindhi or siraiki or punjabi party etc etc...no matter how good they are, they can never be a main stream party in the country like PTI or PPP. In order to create a fabric of unity in the country and to take every nationality and ethnicity moving forward together and making sure everyone is represented, we need parties like the PTI who do not associate themselves with any one particular section of society or started off that way. I myself used to be a very active MQM supporter and agree that it is not understood properly in the rest of the country and there is a lot of false propaganda against it by the establishment but now I am an active PTI member and supporter as I see PTI picking up and doing things on a national level and bringing in the youth and people from all classes of society (all you have to do is look at the jalsas to see the vast representation of PTI amongst every section of society), from where the MQM left off. MQM has gotten itself involved in a lot of petty street politics instead of focusing on national issues and we as a nation need a party and leadership that has the face, determination, courage and style to take every Pakistani forward, not just a section of society from one area of the country.
@Khurram Zafar 'And you remained an employment class " .You donot have the slightest idea what about the earning of a petty business in Dubai and a Local CA .Lolzzzz .Get some facts straight . oh BTW PTI will loose in Karachi .The dynamcis are mighty different here mate .
I ask all- especially PTI supporters... have any of you guys lost any loved one by the hands of these ttp scumbags? or any close relative- or a sibling? or even a friend?
I wonder- into despair- that who are you to give TTP butchers a clean chit, and exonerate them all from these crimes? why would i even talk to them? if i need only justice..
You guys are rotting MQM for so long- please give some prove or else better to shut up- thats what your religion tells you. not me.
First PML-N was copying PTI then PPP and now these guys will copy PTI. New political game!
@ paradigm shift What made Faisal sabzwari change his class from middle class.. How come he has a business in dubai... And you remained an employment class even after completing your CA.. Well he did not even complete CA My vote all the way for pti and yes I am from Karachi too :)
he meant corpses
Syed spot on .Faisal Subzwari was from the same middleclass neighboorhood ,i was from . Did his Chartered Accountancy articles from the same firm I did .
MQM started it all , IK is just following suit .
@all the PTI troll out there,
MQM has been sending youth to Parliament, long before ur beloved IK conceived his party. Its PTI who adopted the MQM model not vice versa.
@Ali tanoli: Dr. Farooq Sattar himself is not Urdu Speaking. He is a Gujrati speaking person. Being Urdu speaking is not a disqualification in MQM. Quite many prominent MQMites are not US as Mr. Nabil Gabul, Ms Nadia, Ms. Sassi, Mr. Godeel Mr. Mushhadi etc.
Imrans youths are different. It may include Balawal and like. The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) will get youth from the lower and middle class of the country elected to the assemblies., It is not just a claim that MQM was the only party in the country which arose from the middle class, “but also in practicality, MQM gave tickets to educated, capable people, especially youngsters, from the lower and middle classes and brought them to assemblies.
Imran does not make it conditional that the youth will be educated, capable, people from the lower middle class.
PTI boasts that 'chana seller' was given an office in Intra party elections. Our Nawaz Sharif also sells sugar and wheat. More than 60% of outgoing parliamentarians are hoarders of sugar and atta.
The MQM parliamentarians were free from all obnoxious things.
It makes me laugh, JIT report indicates on what path you put youth.
@Ali tanoli: Let's ban urdu in Pakistan.get ready to speak punjabi, sindhi, pushto and balochi. The urdu speakers should ask for royalty or surcharge if any one else wants to use urdu.
really if u speak urdu no others....
Hahahahha.... Good Joke...
Everyone just follows Imran Khan at the end of the day. Wake up everyone and vote for the right party !!
By all means . . . just ensure that they are not criminal minded.
Copy cats! Suddenly everyone remembered youth after PTI
