Lightening strikes: Six personnel injured

A bolt of lightning struck the check post of security personnels.

TIMERGARA: At least six security personnel were injured when lightning fell on their check post on Wednesday evening in Miskini Darra, tehsil Jandol, district Lower Dir.

 

An official of the security forces said they were on duty at Three Paiman check post when there was a thunderstorm. A bolt of lightning struck the post injuring six people.

Personnel from the nearby checkpoints rushed to the site for rescue work, however the wounded could not be shifted to a hospital due to the heavy downpour.

“The injured personnel were provided first aid and are in stable condition.” the official stated.
