In his letter written to President Asif Ali Zardari on January 27, Bokhari said that the apex court proceedings were putting undue pressure on NAB investigators by trying to influence investigations in different corruption cases.
During today’s proceeding, Bokhari’s counsel raised objections to the bench hearing the case and said that it “has already decided the fate of the case.”
The bench rubbished the claims and concluded that Bokhari will be charged on April 2.
It further said that the letter maligned the entire judiciary and not just one judge.

well done CJ - put them all in place.
We will support Admiral against any excess if made.
@Kashif: This time the contempt will have far reaching effects. May be the Judiciary is never the same. Too much of dictatorship is likely to back fire. Admiral Fasih will not be punished for contempt but for supporting a Judge who never was.
Fasih Bokhari was nominated for NAB Chairman job by those who wants to slow down ball rolling from SC towards them. He stalled every verdict that SC gave against the corrupt and has very little to show what he achieved during his tenure as NAB Chairman. Institution after institution was looted and he did nothing to catch the culprits. Many ran out of country and he did nothing to stop their exit or to bring them back to justice. Now he must pay the price.
@ Sonya,
When a navy retired admiral cannot stop himself from misconduct, how can the contempt gun stop. Simple rule even used in Navy. I don't know why they don't follow in civilian organizations.
This NAB chariman was trying to be be oversmart. Deserves it.
I think SC is over acting here.........wah je wah now Courts have the power which dictators used to have...oops..i should be careful, I can also get contempt of court notice
Very good decision by the SC. All the public money distributed on the last day should also be recovered.
To whom one should report about highhandedness of the CJ/SC?.
The contempt gun has a lot of ammunition in it.......it doesn't stop by itself.
