Ptcl land: SHC takes notice of encroachment

SHC also directed the SHO of Airport Police Station to lodge an FIR and proceed according to the law.

ISLAMABAD: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday issued an interim order in favour of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) over illegal occupation of the company’s land in Malir Halt, Karachi. After hearing the case, the court agreed to PTCL’s submission and directed its Nazir to inspect the property and prepare a detailed report, says a press release issued by PTCL. SHC also directed the SHO of Airport Police Station to lodge an FIR and proceed according to the law as well as take all steps necessary to implement the orders of the court. On Sunday, according to the release, some armed men entered the PTCL property, displaced the security guards of the company and started illegal construction. PTCL lodged a written complaint against the encroachers with the Airport Police Station, but no action was taken by the authorities.

No wonder that such large organizations are facing these circumstances as country is in the troubled situation.Now need is to taken steps against these encroachments that can reduce incidents like this.All authorities should have to be active to stop illegal occupations nationwide.

Now illegal occupation became the routine activity by land mafia but PTCL has taken a significant step to cease land mafia intentions.But it is quite and unbearable that no action has been taken by authorities after lodging complaint by PTCL.
