According to sources, the Gilani family will reside in Dubai until the general elections take place in the country.
News channels reported that Fauzia Gilani, the wife of the former premier, has left for the Gulf emirate on Sunday. She was accompanied by other members of the family.
Sources privy to the matter also stated that the family left Pakistan because of the corruption cases they are allegedly involved in.
The family is expected to return after the general elections.
