PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Dost Muhammad Khan on Monday vowed to bring to justice the culprits behind the attack on the judicial complex. Justice Khan made the statement while speaking to journalists at the Lady Reading Hospital where he was visiting victims of the brazen attack which left four people dead and nearly 47 injured, including lawyers and litigants.

The Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) also issued a statement strongly condemning the incident and announced to boycott court proceedings (except in urgent matters) across the country on Tuesday (today).

PBC Secretary Muhammad Arshad said they strongly condemn the attack and announced the boycott to express solidarity with family members of those killed and wounded in the incident. The statement added the attack near and around court premises is a blatant attempt to disrupt the dispensation of justice, particularly against terrorists. The PBC demanded the government to nab the culprits and emphasised on the need for a foolproof security strategy to ensure public safety.
