Protesters appealed to the chief minister to intervene in the matter.

LAHORE: Contract officials at the Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) have threatened to go on a hunger strike for an indefinite period if their services are not regularised immediately. Officials said contract officials in other departments had been regularised a while back, but their service regularisation had been postponed without giving them a plausible reason. They have appealed to the chief minister to intervene in the matter. They also demanded the transfer of Industries secretary and managing director for not complying with the chief minister’s orders and regularising their service.
