The Rangers initially arrested 60 people but most of them were released after the initial investigation.
They found 48 weapons, including tennis ball bombs, TT pistols, rifles, Kalashnikovs and various kinds of chemicals and explosives, from a makeshift bomb-making factory raided during the operation.
A strict ban preventing people from entering or leaving the town was put in place by Rangers while they were investigating the area.
