LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Friday directed six police officers to stop harassing former international weightlifter Muhammad Shakoor and sought a reply from them by March 18. Advocate Irfan Sadiq submitted that Shakoor’s son-in-law Muhammad Rizwan wanted to occupy his house located in Ghazi Abad. He said Inspector Asif from the DIG’s office had been pressing Shakoor to vacate his house. He contended that Defence-B Sub Inspector Javed Iqbal, Green Town Sub Inspector Abbas, Lower Mall Sub Inspector Imtiaz, Mushtaq from Tibbi City and Ghazi Abad Assistant Sub Inspector Awais had been threatening Shakoor with dire consequences if he did not hand over his house to Rizwan. He prayed the court to order legal action against him.
