Pakistan-India sporting events took yet another blow as the Indian hockey team cancelled a visit to Pakistan due to security reasons on Friday, reported Express News.

The two neighbouring countries planned to play a five-match series in  India and Pakistan. Pakistan was due to visit cities in India from April 5- 15 and the Indian hockey team was to tour various cities of Pakistan from April 23.

The series would have revived the bilateral hockey ties between the traditional rivals after nearly seven years.

A snooker series between Pakistan and India was postponed earlier this month on March 5 based on safety and security grounds as well.

It was to be the first series featuring the two countries since 2005.

@Hamad Jatt:

I beg to differ. I think you mean terrorism is the national sport. You play that game almost every day.
