The mind of the people show what kind of a country they live in. And the comments above show what kind of a mind they have. A Caretaker Prime Minister's primary job is to run the country on an ad-hoc basis so the people can elect the next government in a fair and transparent elections. The primary qualification of the caretakers is honesty, integrity, and efficiency which also means that they cannot be biased towards one party or the other or towards one socio-ethnic group or the other. And the caretakers cannot run for elections themselves. So that takes out Imran Khan and Chaudhry Pervez Elahi. That mostly leaves the technocrats and judiciary related individuals. Dr. Ishrat Husain and former Justice Nasir Aslam Zahid will be most prominent with Justice Zahid having an overwhelming edge. I am a little disappointed in the choices our people have shown above. Come on people, if this is what you show as preferences for caretakers what would you do in the general elections. (My inclination if you would consider it is to go for newer and younger blood. Try PTI, you cannot go too much wrong there) But, whoever you choose, let's pray that our beautiful people get some respite from their hardships and some ease from their sufferings. They deserve much better than what they have had.
