General Elections: All arrangements in place says DCO
All necessary arrangements have been made for the upcoming general elections. Monitoring teams and an election cell have also been constituted.
This was stated by District Coordination Office (DCO) Chaudhry Usman during a meeting on Wednesday, said a handout issued by the district information office.
The meeting was attended my District Police Officer (DPO) Syed Ali Rizvi, District Election Officer (DEO) Muhammad Nadeem Khan, assistant commissioners and executive district offices.
The participants were briefed on the code of conduct and informed about other, related issues. The DCO asked all ACs to visit all polling stations and submit a report by March 20.
DPO Rizvi informed the house that security plan has been prepared while CCTV cameras will be installed on sensitive polling stations. DEO Khan said that as many as 778 polling stations will be set up for about one million voters of the district.
