Cricketer Rana Naveed hit 45 balls in one minute, breaking a record previously set by English cricketer Andrew Flintoff, who had played 19 strokes in a minute. During the record breaking attempt, five seconds were wasted by emotional spectators who barged onto the ground before the time was up.
Another record was set by a youth who broke 68 wooden blocks with his elbow. The previous record of 43 blocks was set in the United States in 2008.
A record was made when 1,450 boys and girls arm wrestled in Punjab Stadium simultaneously, breaking a previously existing record of 1,018 people on March 2012 in the United Kingdom.
A day earlier, Pakistan's talented youth created six records in different entertainment events.
The 11-member hockey team set a world mark of 43 passes in one minute. The team set the record in their third attempt.
Mohammad Rashid of Karachi set another record by opening 40 bottles caps with his head in one minute.
Mohammad Salim Amin clinched the largest sequins mosaic record by creating a picture of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, measuring 6.2 square metres and using 325,000 sequins.
In the most number of continuous badminton passes in one minute, Mohammad Wajid and Atique completed 123 continuous passes while the target set by GWR was of 30 passes.
Mohammad Rashid created his second and the day's sixth world record by kicking 50 coconuts down from the heads of people standing in a row.

Simply impressive. I hope the series of records continue under coming years. Love you guys
Wow thats Great Loved You guys <3
@Blithe: what is there to appreciate? someone opening 40 bottle caps in one minute? really?! please get your priorities right!
get a life youngster. people are dying on streets and the youth make world records in things that does not matter at all.
@samir: You're right: economy is everything. But it is definitely not in the hands of the ordinary people, it's the matter and handling of government. At least others should know that the ordinary people of Pakistan are talented, brilliant, amazing. I agree to the point of marking remarkable records in the field of Science, ICT n all that. But that's good, much better enough. What they say, Indus is the place of Arts and culture.
Anyhow, I was wondering Mohammad Salim should have tried creating a mosaic of M. A. Jinnah instead of Shahbaz Sa'b!!! But anyway, Mr. Shahbaz at least gave the youth a platform to show their talents, whether he is doing for "himself" or do has a "vision".
what venomous comments!!!
Can't we simply appreciate?
Changes and progress require some time, nothing happens overnight. These are good initiatives and I hope next time we will go for technological records too but be patient and appreciate if something good happens. Stop babbling all the time just for political point scoring :|
One day, we'll set some records in Mathematics, Science and Arts. One day.
Although this should be appreciated but why not make the fastest computer or why not try to create science or technological marvels. These records mean nothing in reality but something new will definitely be rewarding!
Just a wastage of time and money....These type or records suit to developed countries who have actually attained something.
