Pak nuclear installations fully secured: FO

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office Spokesman Abdul Basit on Saturday said that Pakistan's nuclear installations were fully protected and secured under foolproof security layers.

In an interview, the spokesman said that Pakistan was cooperating in the global nuclear non-proliferation efforts and its role was internationally being acknowledged. The country would keep on playing its role in future also, he added.

The spokesman said that Pakistan's participation in the nuclear security summit was significant because the participants will have the up to date knowledge of international measures with regard to nuclear non-proliferation besides sharing mutual experiences.

To a question the spokesman said that Prime Minister SyedYusuf Raza Gilani will have very busy schedule during his US stay.

He said that PM will have a meeting with US president onSunday while on April 12 and 13 he will remain engaged in summit activities.

About the prospects of Pak-Indian PMs at the side line ofsummit the spokesman said that till now there was no such arrangement.
