THATTA: A strike called by Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz was observed to condemn the controversial Zulfikarabad city project in the coastal belt of Sindh on Saturday. The strike was held in Thatta, Mirpur Sakro, Gujjo, Choohar Jamali and other adjoining towns. All businesses and petrol pumps were closed as men shot in the air. All nationalist organisations and several political and religious parties in Sindh have dismissed the project as they believe that it is harmful for the people. In addition, many social and non-governmental organisations have also dismissed the project as being environmentally flawed. These organisations believe that the project will cause a large influx of population from other parts of the country, which would deprive the residents of their rights.

"These organisations believe that the project will cause a large influx of population from other parts of the country, which would deprive the residents of their rights." . Perhaps these organisations can ask for some advice from their comrade-in-arms, the Baluchi Nationalists, who have succeeded in tackling the problem.
