Unabated violence: Shia trader gunned down

Press Secretary of Imamia Jirga Peshawar claimed that Qabool was targeted.

A Shia trader was shot dead in Mohallah Mullah Fasih in Shah Qabool area on Wednesday night.

Nawazish Ali was a resident of Kutwali and a shopkeeper by profession. Initially, his body was shifted to Shah Qabool police station where he remained unidentified for several hours as no ID card was recovered from his belongings. Police then traced his family through his mobile phone.

Press Secretary of Imamia Jirga Peshawar, Muzafar Akhunzada claimed Qabool was targeted, adding it was the failure of the police that these incidents were happening. Ali has a son and two daughters.
