A powerful blast ripped though Abbas Town in Karachi on Sunday evening, leaving 50 people dead and over 150 injured. The explosion took place on the busy Abul Isphahani road which is packed with residential apartments and a myriad of small shops on both sides.
Senators on Monday remarked in the house that the Karachi bombings had foreign involvement and were directly connected to the recent handing of the Gawadar port to China and the government's decision to proceed ahead with the Iranian gas pipeline deal.
The lawmakers also took the authorities to task not only for their failure to prevent yet another lethal bomb explosion, but also their delayed response in rescuing the victims, which resulted in heavy causalities and damages.
They noted that the delay was due to deployment of police and rangers as part of the security protocol that was patrolling the Mohatta palace that was hosting the engagement of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader Sharmila Farooqi’s engagement at the same time.
The issue of the blast consumed nearly the entire session of the Senate as lawmakers widely condemned the terrorist act and asked the government to take action to prevent the unending sectarian violence against the Shia community.

This statement indirectly but unfortunately blames international powers i.e especially India and US.btw if senators has so much knowledge on who has done and who has not done it then why are they sitting idle waiting for biryini.dont make absurd claims and make fun of yourself.today entire is laughing at pakistan not as a friend but as a critics and these so called law makers think they are praising pakistan.any ways gud luk to pakistan for its own so called lawmakers perceptions.

The minorities are betrayed once again by the prejudiced and twisted lawmakers' narrative, who have chosen to dishonestly take refuge in xenophobic conspiratorial propaganda rather than seriously acknowledge the ideological extremists within their majority population. With such insincere mindsets it is not surprising there has been little to no progress in arresting any of the local militants and terrorists due to the deluded excuses made by the majority and leaders.

WOW, how predictable! Senators today announced that the recent slaughter in Karachi is the work of ( drum roll please, then trumpet cascade ) DA FOREIGN HAND!!! ( rather than the OBVIOUS violent groups such as LeJ who openly take credit for their work and gloat about the slaughter on social media sites, all the while openly operating in Pakistan)! If the Senators have evidence of so-called "foreign involvement", then why are they so shy about naming names and providing captured foreign agents who must have carried out this (and other) recents terrorist attacks since "a Muslim can't kill another Muslim", as that worn out mantra goes! Maybe an investigation into why such groups are tolerated by seat hungry political parties at the federal and local levels would be in order, but why look for the truth when the stupid public so eagerly swallows the foreign hand crap dished out at every opportunity!
