Tirah valley: Seven militants killed in air raid

Fighter planes pounded the hideouts of the Mangal Bagh-led Lashkar-e-Islam and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.

BARA: Seven Taliban militants, including a mid-level commander, were killed when warplanes bombed their hideouts in Tirah Valley of Khyber Agency on Sunday. 

Fighter planes pounded the hideouts of the Mangal Bagh-led Lashkar-e-Islam and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan in the Sipah Ghaibi Nika area of the valley.  Militant commander Qari Muhammad Khan, his aide Nazaib Khan from Malikdin Khel tribe and five other militants were killed in the air raid.

Separately, a mortar shell fired from an undisclosed location landed on the house of Shermat Khan in the Sandana area of Bara tehsil, injuring her daughter.
