LAHORE: More than 10,000 cards have been issued to senior citizens so that they can travel free of charge on public buses, said Lahore Transport Company (LTC) Chairman Khawaja Hassan on Wednesday. He added that the disabled would also benefit from this service. Around 500 buses, the chairman said, had been introduced on 33 urban routes. Similar buses were also running in Muridke, Kamoke, Chunian, Kasur, Sheikhupura and Marraka, he added.  Hassan was presiding over a meeting of the Board of Directors of the company at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. The board approved the Pink Bus Service as a regular scheme. The LTC will now ply pink buses.
