Students and teachers from The City School and All Pakistan Women Association School turned up to see the flowers, some varieties of which they had never seen before. The show started on February 26 and nearly 1,500 people have already attended the flower show.
Ghouri told The Express Tribune that holding a flower show in Sukkur had been a very old dream of his. “Nearly 3,800 plants of 70 varieties were brought in from Peshawar, Patoki, Lahore and Karachi about three months ago and grown in a nursery for this event,” he explained. “I hope that the show motivates the students to plant more flowers in their homes.”
“We have flowers in our school, but these ones are more beautiful,” said Muhammad Salah, a third grader from The City School. One of the students, Muhammad Ehsan, got so carried away with the beauty of the flowers and the sound of drums playing in the background that he began to dance.
“I dedicate this event to the people of Sukkur,” Ghouri added, with a jubilant smile. He took the students into his store after the festival and served them refreshments.
A number of flower varieties, including Carnations, Marigolds, Dwarf Daisies, and Halycon’s, are on display outside Ghouri’s Icon till March 9.

This profusion of color a sight for sore eyes.. like an oasis in the middle of a dry desert. The joy that it brought to the giddy children and others will inspire them to continue to surround themselves with the same beauty. Kudos to you for coming up with new ideas to beautify and improve the city. You are a pioneer! I am sure there is a lot more to come…good luck for your future endeavors.

Great work Aamir, a beautiful way to inspire kids and the masses!
Sukkur needs such kind of refreshing and colorful change which will turn the barren city into a fertile and beautiful one. People will get motivated to make the city greener because every individual effort counts. Aamir you have been a trend setter for the sukkurites who are afraid of taking the initiative. This event proves that if the people of sukkur work together they can make a greener and better sukkur
Marvelous! Being a Sukkurite, I realize the dire need of such initiatives. This exhibition has not only fulfilled the need for entertainment here, but has also proven to a great step towards the Corporate Social Responsibility. The intent backing this endeavor i.e. of making Sukkur green is laudable.

Great effort Aamir ! Congratulations !!!
I am from the city of Sukkur, I have seen flowers at very less places in the city, the only place I know where I have seen and smelled the scent of a huge variety of flowers is Public School Sukkur at military road. Bravo to Aamir for the step he has taken, I would miss this colorful feast of flowers here as I am away from my city.
Its a really commendable initiative taken by Aamir Ghouri. It brings more colors and life to the city which is evident from the response of people from all walks of life, especially children. Not only is this exhibition colorful and soothing, it also reminds people like us the significance of flowers in our lives. I hope it becomes a regular feature in Springs to come. Best wishes.
Amazing. Keep it up Aamir.
A great gesture in a difficult circumstances... nice idea... Keep it up.
This is a really amazing event presented by Ghouri's. And that 'third grader dancing on drums' part is Lovely! This is a dream come true for Aamir Ghouri as he mentioned up there and as Sukkur citizen, I would say amusements like that don't come usally here, So the Ghouri's did a great activity and I and the whole city is really thankful to Ghouri's.
