HAFIZABAD: Hundreds of thousands of rupees were betted in dogfight matches in Laveray on Tuesday. Thousands gathered to watch the fight as dog owners danced to the beat of the drums. The principal of a government school in the area, Fayyaz Warraich, said classes had to be called off as students and teachers also wanted to be among the spectators. Saddar police DSP Tariq Warraich said that police had already been sent to stop the fight.
