West Indies captain lauds team after Zimbabwe ODI whitewash.

ST GEORGE’S: West Indies swept their One-Day International (ODI) series against Zimbabwe 3-0 after making comparatively heavy weather of what should have been a leisurely pursuit of 212 before reaching their target for the loss of five wickets.

“This was a special result for us as we want to dedicate it to one of the legends of West Indies cricket, Sir Everton Weekes,” said captain Darren Bravo, acknowledging the 88th birthday of one of the West Indies’ greatest-ever batsmen.

“I’ve got to give credit to our opening bowlers because they set the tone for the others.”
