
Balochistan’s provincial government was dissolved when Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf imposed governor’s rule on January 13 after Alamdar road bombings that targeted the Shia Hazara community.
As per the law, ministers are obligated to give up state privileges in 15 days after the provincial legislature is dissolved.
So far, only 31 cars have been returned, while there are around 50 ministers and advisers who are entitled to on-job state benefits.
Talking to Express News, former speaker Balochistan Assembly Muhammad Aslam Bhootani, called it unethical on the part of the ministers for not returning their official entitlements back to the state.
