Blue passports are official passports issued to Pakistani nationals who are senators, members of the National Assembly, judges of the supreme and high courts, officers serving in public bodies or on official overseas assignments.
Former Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) chief, Tauqir Sadiq was also issued a similar blue passport, it is learnt.
Sadiq who was accused of embezzling a total of Rs83 billion during his tenure as Ogra chief, had taken refuge in the United Arab Emirates after his senior appointment at the regulatory body was declared illegal by the apex court.
Pakistan asked the UAE government for its cooperation to bring Sadiq back to Islamabad on the orders of the supreme court which is currently hearing petitions on the corruption allegations levelled against Sadiq.
The UAE government said that the visa process for the players holding blue passports will experience delay.
Pakistan, India and the UAE are participants of the International Kabaddi League.
