LAHORE: Chief Justice (CJ) Umar Ata Bandial of the Lahore High Court on Tuesday sought a reply from the Punjab Housing Foundation on a petition challenging its cancellation of allotment of houses to retired government employees. The petition moved by several retired employees submitted that the government had allotted houses to them but the allotments had been cancelled when they did not pay arrears of instalments at the time of retirement, they said.  Punjab Housing Foundation counsel Anum Saleem said the petitioners’ allotment had been cancelled because they had violated the rules. The court adjourned the hearing till March 28.
