Tribal clash claims 26 lives in Kurram Agency

The clash erupted over water distribution as Shalozan Tangi tribe stopped water supply to the Shalozan tribe.

KURRAM AGENCY: At least 26 tribesmen have been killed and 71 in an on-going tribal clash in the Khewas area of Upper Kurram Agency on Friday.

With these latest deaths, the number of people killed in fighting during the last 24 hours has risen to 51.

So far more than 102 tribesmen have lost their lives while 150 injured in four weeks of clashes that erupted over a water dispute.

The clash erupted over water distribution as Shalozan Tangi tribe stopped water supply to the Shalozan tribe. Both sides have been using heavy weapons in the fighting, while several efforts to stop fighting have proved futile so far.
