Khyber agency: 10kg bomb defused in Jamrud

The BDS members said the bomb weighed 10 kilogrammes.

JAMRUD: The bomb disposal squad (BDS) defused a high intensity bomb planted by unidentified militants at a roadside in Teddy Bazaar of Jamrud tehsil, Khyber Agency on Monday. According to an official of the political administration Asmatullah Wazir, around 10am locals informed them about a bomb planted outside the bazaar. They rushed to the site along with BDS officials who defused it. A search operation was launched and two suspects were arrested and taken to an undisclosed location for investigation. The BDS members said the bomb weighed 10 kilogrammes. On February 20, a vehicle carrying Nato supplies to Afghanistan was partially damaged when a bomb planted at a roadside went off in Jamrud.
