The players who left also included Shoaib Malik, Ahmed Shahzad, Umer Amin, Kamran Akmal, Umar Akmal, Wahab Riaz, Zulfiqar Babar and Asad Ali. Pakistan will play two Twenty20s and five One-Day Internationals with the T20 game to be played on March 1 in Durban.
Kamran hopes to shine
Kamran is hopeful of a good performance from the team against South Africa.
“We have a good combination,” said the wicket-keeper. “Our team has the ability to beat South Africa and we will give them a tough time.”
The wicket-keeper said he was ready for the series and was looking forward to giving a good show.
“I am thankful to the selectors for showing faith in me. I will not disappoint them,” he said, before adding he was fit for the assignment.
The wicket-keeper also hoped that international cricket will return to Pakistan soon saying the PCB was taking the right measures for it.
“Chairman Zaka Ashraf is making a lot of effort. I hope his hardwork will pay dividends and international cricket will return to our country soon.”
